Theres always someone to critize..... ! not at all just stating facts, and June its usually you critizing something, lack of info, poor guest choice,rr at no,1 etc etc Benji is a nice lap but no where near PL,and sounds like he needs a sponsor which kinda says it all,NL rider at best, long way off Prem League

Come on rocknroller; I'll take you on, even though I know not who you are. Because I don't believe in hiding behind a name everything I write can be read and people know who I am. I am enthusiastic about speedway and do have opinions like all other fans, but tell me where I have criticized about a poor guest, choice or R/R at No 1.and even lack of info. I may discuss these subjects with other fans trackside, who doesn't but please point me to a thread where I have openly done what you are accusing me of.

Sorry have to agree ,Benji is not good enough for PL. Look at Ash, Gary , the Twins ,Stefan and Tom and then compare Benji against them- he is a risk too far and would not fit in at all. Now National League that's a different story ,but it goes against the ethics of bringing young lads up to another level and Rob/ Stuarts two year plan for the team.

Scunny1. I don't disagree with what you say at this point. I Have nothing but admiration for Rob and Stuart for bringing on the youngsters, they do an absolutely brill job. Richard too with the AM meetings. Thats not the issue and I do try to support the youngsters. I have always liked Benji and he does talk about wanting to have another go at speedway as he misses it. He is still young and was part of our 2006/2007 winning team. Maybe after the break and growing up ( his words on FB ) he may be able to put it together again. I'm sure hes not really expecting to slot back into a prem team. My gripe was that rocknroller put him down before hes even taken to the track. These lads are brave so at least let them live their dream and see what happens. I'm sure Stuart knows his job sufficient enough to make sure that our best young riders are placed in our Scunny team. My gripe was with rocknroller for making accusations against me. Yes I have opinions and yes I do discuss speedway thats what fans do! This season its been good and I'm sure most of us are well satisfied.

June , agree with your sentiments I too am satisfied with both of our teams. I like to see Scorpions competing at a high level but I also like to see the youngsters/ new starters to the sport improve through the amateur and NL route.
We need both teams acting together to bring on our assets to the highest level. My only gripe with Benji is comittment and sadly his reputation is suspect in this regard. Good luck to him, but in my humble opinion he is not required at the EWR.

For one id love to see Benji back with us! Hes a good lad who has had some great memory's at the club! Would be gutted if he doesn't ride for either team! He did well in the amateur the other day i think he hadn't been on a bike in a year and got in the top 5 i think he said! Well done Benji if your reading! There ARE supporters that will want you back!

Benji has had PL places with us,Redcar and Sheff along with alot of NL teams, and still hasnt made it,im not putting the lad down,im stating a fact that he isnt good enough for PL racing, facts dont lie.......plus we have a new crop of kids that would come in to the PL on same average,Tom Young,Stefan Nielsen,Olly Greenwood and Max Clegg in the next 12-24 months, all these are ahead of Benji in the pecking order and other will for sure emerge
Huge backward step it would be,when you look at riders we are now bringing into the club shows how we have moved on
And for heavens sake, please dont mention Byron, you will be wanting him back next!!!!!

Got to Agree, Benji wouldnt work in the PL team for the Saints maybe but not the Scorpions. The Scunthorpe team the here now and the future not going back in time 4 or 5 years when Benji last rode in the PL Team. As mentioned club Assets such as Stefan, Tom, Olly and Max would all be in line for a PL spot (would all be better options then Benji).

ha ha......at least its got folk talking on here! I wish Benji a successful return to speedway whoever the hell he ends up riding for! I never in a million years expected him to end up a hairdresser.....still not quite grasped him with scissors chopping hair.......great achievement in that field
