I see that from the scores David was back to his high scores again?!! ( 3 pts from 4 races ) M.P.T. was dropped from the team when he didnt score as expected, come on Rob its about time David moved on then he can consentrate on his grass track racing as it very much lookes, that his heart is not in speedway this seasion, If this is not the case " PROVE IT DAVE" and start to score up to and over your average , home and away with some regularity and prove me and other regular supporters wrong that the backing Rob has given you is not wasted.

Having just read the post match report I’m afraid that like the pervious posters I feel it’s time Dave moved on .Yes I know he’s been a great servant to the club in the past. However speedway like most sports you are only as good as your last result, both as a team and as an individual. For what ever reason Dave’s heart doesn’t appear to have been in it the last few weeks. Is it as the rumour mongers would have us believe with his grass track and long track commitments Dave is juggling too many balls in the air at the moment. What ever it is there can’t be any room for sentimentality and sorry as I am to say this but Dave should follow M.P.T in looking to race in pastures new

I would just like to point out a few things. First of all, just the same as everyone else I am just as much frustrated with my scores as anyone. This is not for lack of trying or effort, I am not making any excuses I just cannot seem to find any consistent rhythm in my racing and the up and down scores has led to a further lack of confidence, and the cycle continues. I am quite sure however that I will get through this and become the rider I was before my injury, I just can't say when. It had been a very tough two years for me, more mentally than anything but I can assure you I am doing whatever I can to rectify the problems that I am faced with. I will defend myself over my grass and LongTrack commitments, never once have I turned up unprepared for a meeting, if anything speedway makes LongTrack more difficult as a lot of the times I miss Friday nights sleep completely so I can fly out to Germany or France. If it hadn't been for the fact I am still riding very well on the LongTrack I think my confidence drop would be even harder as I still have the self belief that I can do it and it will return.
As it has been pointed out you are only as good as your last race, I understand and appreciate this, however I do find it a bit hurtful that after all the races I have won for the team, all the times I have carried the team sometimes scoring over half the teams total that after three and a half months of not being at my best that I am so quickly surplus to requirements. I also understand that Rob may now or in the future choose to take the team in a direction that doesn't include me, that's his choice and I will always stand by it but to have my commitment to the club doubted is way off the mark. Maybe you might get your wish and see me get moved on, maybe I will move on I don't know at this moment in time but until that time comes I will be giving 100% for the scorpions, as I have always have done.

thanks for replying david, cant be easy reading knowing people are making disparaging comments about you.seems to me they are making you a scapegoat for the poor season and is in my opinion unfair.thomas has underperformed and been injured again, josh's average has fallen, tofty underperformed, ryan is starting to improve so is lewis, and ash is riding in the form of his life maybe because of elite league racing. we know niclolai has lack of confidence and is maybe in the same boat as your self. on the update sites certain "supporters" were slating nicola after his first two rides at home, once he figured the track out i believe he posted the two quickest times of the night? i will be the first to own up to moaning and groaning because you arent scoring but the whole team arent scoring or looking like champions, have other teams "sussed us out"? or upped their game because we are champions? sorry about the long post but seems unfair to single you out as the bad guy, yes i know tofty made way, so did young josh but no one came on here baying for their bllood. chin up fella and just try and enjoy your racing

Hi pj. I would just to point out that Ryan ,in his first year in the Premier League, scored 4 points from 4 rides as did David with ALL his experience. As I said in my first post its up to David to prove hinself on the track and prove me and others wrong.

Hi guys,
I think some of you are being very harsh on David. Yes, he's had a difficult season so far - but it can't be easy coming back after nearly a whole season injured.
David's a little low on confidence, and it's not going to help if some supporters are getting on his back. Cut the guy a little slack, we know he's a class act. It's not that long (last April) since David was carrying the rest of the side with a brilliant 18-point maximum at Newcastle. A couple of good, consistent performances and all that confidence will come flooding back. Remember he's had a lot of niggly injuries this season as well.
He's still contributing. Without the 5-1s from David & Josh in Heat 13 of the last three home meetings, we'd have lost all three meetings (remember David won Heat 15 against Redcar into the bargain).
He scored double figures at Ipswich, again at home to Redcar, so it seems a bit harsh to then jump on him for a bad performance at Somerset - no-one is going to be more disappointed with his 3-point return than David himself.
No-one has scored more points for the Scorpions than David Howe. He is a club legend. But he is human. Let's give him a chance.

No need to blame anyone, really, it's just the nature of the sport - you win some, you lose some, no-one can win them all. Not that this season is over quite yet by any means.

I don't anyone blames MPT though do they? He always gave his all - in fact sometimes he was almost trying too hard.
Personally I was chuffed when I saw he'd scored well in the individual at Leicester. I hope Michael comes bouncing back.
Without him, there's no way we'd have won the play-offs last season. He was supreme in those. That's something we'll always be grateful to him for.
