Hi Rob,
Have seen a few bits & pieces on the BSF about different formats of leagues for next season.
Without giving anything away or speaking a confidence, what would your preference be? Would Scunthorpe be able to ride with the big boys in an extended top league?
I guess its going to be a very interesting close season thats for sure.

Hi Lewis we would never be able to compete in 1 big league it would kill most of us off.We have the best league and we need to protect it against the vultures from the elete league. So its like you said its going to be an interesting winter

HI Rob, I think it would be a good idea if the BSPA sorted out all the ambiguous rules for a start!!

i think it would be comparable to scunny united going into the premiership,£100.000 a week to maybe £1500 a week? the money paid out to one elite league rider scoring say. 15 points would probably match what rob pays out for both teams now.it would probably cost £50 to get in and a £5 to park.and its rumoured that there will be no gp stars in the one big league.

Hi Rob, can i ask about all the rumours regarding one big league on the BSF? if it happened and the speedway board said that no gp stars could race, could we afford to pay the likes of Harris, Nicholls,Batchelor or Andersen? Also there would be no "double uppers"so Cookie,Doyle, our Josh and Ash wouldnt earn extra wages, so the team who offers more money would get them. ps,, the premier league is a way better product than the elite, so why should we have to suffer for their failings, if nothing is wrong with the elite league then why are Sky rumoured to pull out? LEAVE OUR LEAGUE ALONE

at the minute there are lots of worried people in the elete league who are seeking solutions to there problems,We in the premier league are keeping calm because we know if we can keep our league together we can be the best league. At no point has there been any suggestion of one league and I belive that it sounds good in principal but in reality it would never work rob

cheers for that rob, like i say its all rumours, but rumours start from somewhere it would be good to go to different tracks but if its financially going to kill tracks then how can it be good for the sport?

The European Champions League is a great success in football. Could it work in speedway? or would it prove far too expensive to run? Top four/five teams in the Elite League going head to head with the top Polish, Danish and Swedish sides in one big league, the remaining teams dropping down into the Premier League. I don't see why a few extra teams in the Premier would be too detrimental to the league (as long as they abide to current rules). A European League could provide the GP and quality riders with a nice playground....and I guess it could be attractive to one of the TV channels. Sounds good to me...therefore it will never happen. lol
