hi rob, just read that our new rider was blocked by the bspa, why was that and does that mean that no other team can change either? thanks

PJ, the explanation is here: www.scunthorpescorpions.co/News.aspx?Team=ScorpionsSecond news item down - "Scorpions Scuppered" Basically Ryan Douglas stays on a 5.00 average (for the time being), even though the rulebook states he should get a new average, if the Scorpions redeclare. However, the BSPA management committee will not apply the rule from the rulebook as it is written, and therefore Scorpions cannot make the planned change, bringing in a new rider for the injured Thomas Jorgensen, as otherwise the team exceeds the points limit. If Ryan was reassessed at 3.00 as rule 17.4.4 suggests, then Scorpions could have brought in the new rider. So why is rule 17.4.4 in the rulebook in the first place, if the BSPA management committee won't apply it? Answers on a postcard to Rugby.

PJ, we'll just have to play by their rules and still beat them.
